I've read that re-locking my bootloader will fix this; any confirmation? At this point, what I really want to do is get my phone back on a stock ROM, with or without ClockWorkMod, and start over again with the rooting process. As I said, this isn't for warranty service; I want to make sure I have a good stock recovery image available and that I have a solidly working phone while I wait for an ICS ROM that's stable for everyday use to come around. Is there a way to relock my bootloader without using the fastboot program from my computer? Ask and ye shall receive - I put together a package with the bare minimum you need to use ADB or fastboot. At about kb I think it's exactly what you were looking for.
No more typing in some annoying CD command to get to the directory with the tools - simply open the folder wherever it is at the time and run Command. You will be ready to just dive right into ADB or fastboot commands which is all you want, anyway, right?

First be sure the bootloader is unlocked via HTCDev. Plug the phone into USB and copy the rom onto the phone. Will most likely need to be in a folder called "0" in the root folder. Open a shell and navigate to your copies of fastboot and adb from the HTCDev unlock. If TWRP doesn't work like mine didn't , no big deal. Issue the following commands: "adb reboot-bootloader" "fastboot flash recovery CWM.
Navigate to 0 and select the stock rom that you downloaded. One of the recoveries will only see the "0" folder, it's a bug. I believe if you're on TWRP, you can only access 0 which is why you need to put the rom there. Clockworkmod should be able to see anything, but if I remember correctly immediately reboots with the latest firmware. Flash the room and reboot. That's how you can go back to stock without a RUU.
All of this is from memory but it's accurate. The other option would be to S-OFF via revone and downgrade afterwards. You CAN use revone on the newest firmware - I did it earlier. Good luck and all that jazz. CWM worked for me on 1. I did a little more looking and found the thread in the development forum. This is awesome a new method of unlocking the Sensation, and it supports Hboot 1. But it seems like it is just a little more complicated than revolutionary.
Yeah I was skimming over the thread and a lot of people have been getting bootloops upon completion, and apparently you need to be HTC dev unlocked first. But its nice to have another method to s-off when it works especially for all those stuck on higher h boots Sent from my sensational sensation 4g All issue resolved I flash Android Revolution HD make this a complete wipe their script and the phone started!
Thanks for all the answers slavsat you have hboot 1. I don't know if the op has Hboot 1. And I don't t think they would have used this method if they could have used Revolutionary. Back to the first post of the thread, I read the instructions on the Unlimited. I am having an issue with the rooting of my Desire S. I have downloaded Revolution, fre3vo, HTC drivers3. I disable anti virus etc and run the driver to install, however it does not install.
There is no status bar or a message saying it fully installed. I have run it as an Admin and same. I am using Win 7 64 bit. Home Premium. Try searching 'root desire s' on lifehacker site, used that as guide rooting my device, or check out my last posts on my profile, i have the links and the youtube link posted before.
The only thing you can do is unlock the bootloader. This operation requires the unlocker from HTC which is actually free. So we have to wait I hope you have lower hboot and this will not be applicable to you Cheers Sorry forgot to mention it has HBoot I got a replacement device and need to send the phone back to Sprint and wanted to send them a stock device.
